Aria is the Beacon Hill Coven’s High Priestess. After discovering an interest in Wicca as a teen, she began studying with a Gardnerian coven in 2009 and was initiated into the Wica in 2011. A Massachusetts native, Aria calls Boston home and lives with her two cats in Beacon Hill. She works at a local hospital as the administrative manager of a research lab, and her mundane hobbies include astronomy, distance running, fiber arts, and candle making.

craft community
The Beacon Hill Coven is an actively practicing and properly lineaged coven of the Gardnerian Tradition. We trace our roots through - among others - Eddie Buczynski, and we’re proud to continue to celebrate unapologetically queer voices within the Craft. We support seekers vetting us with the larger Gardnerian community as a way to ensure confidence in our status as valid initiates.
We are active within the international Gardnerian community and are fortunate to have a network of brilliant fellow initiates as friends, co-conspirators, and mentors.
Coven community
The coven is truly the heart of the way initiates experience and live our Craft. Each coven is not only an autonomous group but also a unique reflection of its members. The Beacon Hill Coven places a strong emphasis on nourishing the familiar bonds between our members, recognizing that the love and trust we come to share is essential to the health of our coven.
We represent a range of ages, sexualities, professions, family structures, genders, and educational backgrounds. We are most homogeneous in our politics, which though varying in nuanced ways from member to member, lean unapologetically to the left. We recognize and celebrate the inherently subversive and feminist nature of witchcraft. There are covens who leave politics at the door; we do not. Read our solidarity statements to learn more about our positions regarding anti-racism as well as queer and transgender rights.
Our coven meets 1-2 times a month to celebrate the Sabbats and Esbats. We are a joyful, social bunch and are regularly in touch not only via digital means but also through social events and local mundane goings-on. The Beacon Hill Coven is a chosen family.
